Diego Costa hasn’t been caught smiling too often since his move to Chelsea last summer.

Ironically, the Spain international has plenty to grin about after a return of 17 goals in 20 Premier League appearances after his £32m transfer from Atletico Madrid.

But one Blues supporter managed to procure more than just a smile as the 25-year-old striker spent time with some of the west London side’s youngest fans on Wednesday.

Costa, who returned to the Chelsea side on Saturday after serving a three-game ban, was in a particularly good mood as he showed off his goofy side in a clip uploaded on the club’s Vine channel.

Credit to the young Chelsea fan, though, who showed more self-restraint than many Premier League defenders this season, maintaining his poise despite Costa’s exuberant clapping and funny expression.

The former Atletico man should start for Chelsea in Sunday’s League Cup final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
