Aaron Ramsey has told his Arsenal team-mates that their Champions League tie with Monaco is “not over yet” ahead of their trip to the principality on Tuesday night.

The Gunners head to Stade Louis II on the back of their disappointing 3-1 loss to the Ligue 1 side at Emirates Stadium in the first leg of their last-16 tie last month.

We are more than capable of scoring three goals

Ramsey was on target for Arsenal as the Gunners beat West Ham United 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon to stay third in the top-flight table.

And the Wales international is convinced that Arsene Wenger’s men have what it takes to complete what would be a memorable comeback and reach the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition.

Speaking to Arsenal’s website after Saturday’s victory over the Hammers, Ramsey said: “We need to score goals. So we will go there and try to score three or more goals and hopefully not concede any. That’s our target and that’s how we will approach it.

We had a sloppy first leg and we’ve made it quite difficult for ourselves but it’s not over yet.

“We are more than capable of scoring three goals. We scored three today and we believe in ourselves. We’ll go into the game believing we can achieve that.”

Arsenal travel to Newcastle United in their next Premier League game as they look to secure a top-four finish and a route into next season’s Champions League.
