Sanchez saw his first-team opportunities limited at Camp Nou following Neymar’s arrival at Barcelona in the summer of 2013.
But despite the playmaker’s move from Santos hindering his opportunities to impress for Barcelona, Sanchez spoke in glowing terms ahead of Brazil’s friendly clash with Chile at Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking to Arsenal Player, Sanchez said: “He always brings joy to the dressing room, it’s infectious. He never loses it; it’s what I love about him.
“He’s a great player on the pitch. He’s different in training – he does things nobody else does. That’s the beauty of football.”
Sanchez has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers since his £35m transfer to Arsenal from Barcelona last summer.
The Chile international has scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 27 top-flight games for Arsene Wenger’s men to help the north London side up to third place in the table.
He also scored three times and made one assist in seven Champions League games for his new team.
Sanchez will be expecting to feature when Arsenal host Liverpool at The Emirates on Saturday lunchtime.
