The six-year-old Vautour will be ridden by Irishman Ruby Walsh and is currently the favourite for the JLT Novices’ Chase at odds of around 7/4 with most bookmakers.

That makes Paddy Power’s enhancement to 12/1 look like a great offer which is likely to tempt plenty of punters into a flutter before Thursday’s race.

Vautour was one of the most impressive winners at last year’s Cheltenham Festival after he powered clear in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, prompting some to suggest that he may have been underestimated ahead of this week’s event.

Vautour’s jockey, Walsh – who is the Cheltenham Festival’s most successful jockey – is certainly in confident mood. “I love him and I think he’s a Gold Cup horse for the future. The JLT trip should suit him down to the ground and I think he’ll win,” said Walsh.

Meanwhile, any punters who have their eyes on any of Thursday’s other races (see schedule below) can avail to a separate enhancement of treble the odds on any horse to win.

As part of this special deal, if your chosen horse wins at a bigger price, Paddy Power will still will honour the guaranteed price, making this an offer not to be missed.
