Christian Eriksen is refusing to rule out a top-four finish ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s home clash against Leicester City.

The north London side were left six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United after the Red Devils were emphatic 3-0 winners against Mauricio Pochettino’s side at White Hart Lane last weekend.

Tottenham have taken just seven points from a possible 15 following a 2-1 victory over derby rivals Arsenal at the start of February, and Spurs are priced at 8/1 to finish in the top four by Irish bookmaker Paddy Power.

However, Denmark international Eriksen, who has scored nine Premier League goals this season, believes Spurs are capable of their top-four rivals in the final nine games of the season.

Eriksen told Daily Telegraph: “We’ve still got nine games to go. You lose one game and you are supposedly out of it. You win one and you are in again. So, hopefully, we will keep winning and we will see where we are.

“Everybody who has played in the Champions League knows that the feeling is different. Right now you sit at home and you watch it on the TV, and then you speak about it the next day. It’s just about the Champions League, ‘did you see this? Did you see that?’

“It gives you such a boost to play in the Champions League.”

Eriksen has experienced a drop in form over the past couple of months after managing to score one goal in 10 appearances in all competitions.
