The Gunners head into the second leg of their last-16 clash on Tuesday night on the back of their surprise loss to the Ligue 1 side last month.
We haven’t lost a game since Monaco and the confidence is high
Arsenal have responded well to the disappointment of losing to Monaco by securing four consecutive victories, including an impressive 2-1 win at Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last week.
And midfielder Coquelin, who helped Arsene Wenger’s men beat West Ham United 3-0 at home in the Premier League on Saturday, is convinced that the north London side are capable of reaching the last eight of Europe’s elite club competition.
Speaking to Arsenal’s website, Coquelin said: “Qualifying for the next round looks impossible but you never know in football.
“Hopefully we can get a great a great result over there and then move on to the next game.
“There’s quite a lot of things to change after you lose 3-1 at home, but we’ve done that in recent games. We haven’t conceded many goals and we’ve been scoring goals as well.
“We haven’t lost a game since Monaco and the confidence is high. We’re going to go there with great spirit and I think we can turn this result around.”
The 23-year-old Coquelin has made 14 Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season and one appearance in the Champions League.
