Harry Kane has underlined his desire to win trophies with Tottenham Hotspur and England.

The 21-year-old received his first call up to the Three Lions squad on Thursday after manager Roy Hodgson rewarded the striker for his impressive form.

Kane is the highest-scoring Englishman in the Premier League this season with an impressive return of 16 goals in 25 top-flight games.

The Spurs striker is desperate to start winning silverware with the Lilywhites after Mauricio Pochettino’s side lost 2-0 to Premier League leaders Chelsea in League Cup final.

“I think they appreciate a good attitude and hard work,” Kane told Daily Mail. “Some great players have said nice things about me — Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher.

“I know with England there is added expectation, people think you should keep progressing in every game, but I don’t mind that because that is what I want, too. It doesn’t stop here. This isn’t the highlight of my career. I want to go on and become bigger and better and win things for Tottenham and England.”

Kane has scored a staggering 26 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the north London side this season.

The Spurs striker’s goals have helped to keep Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the race for a top-four finish.
