Jordon Ibe has warned Arsenal that Liverpool will head to Emirates Stadium on Saturday expecting to beat the Gunners and reignite their top-four hopes.

The Reds suffered a blow to their bid for Champions League qualification on their last outing as they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United at Anfield.

Liverpool travel to Emirates Stadium fifth in the Premier League table and six points behind third-placed Arsenal heading into the final eight games of the season.

But Liverpool winger Ibe says that Brendan Rodgers’ side are confident of being able to beat Arsene Wenger’s men on Saturday lunchtime.

“They’ve won the majority of the games and hopefully they can build on it and win the next game against Arsenal,” Ibe is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo. “Hopefully we can get top four or even higher.

“Although they have lost a game they are still on a high. We need to keep building from there and picking up points.”

Ibe is aiming to be back for Liverpool before the end of the season after stepping up his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

The winger has been sidelined since limping out of the Europa League defeat by Besiktas last month but returned to training with the Reds last week.
