Luke Shaw took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to admit that he was “gutted” by Manchester United’s FA Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal on Monday night.

The Red Devils slumped to a 2-1 defeat by the Gunners at Old Trafford as Arsene Wenger’s men booked their place in the last four of the competition they won last season.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had some fun at Shaw’s expense on Twitter in the wake of Arsenal’s victory over Louis van Gaal’s side.

And the England international used the social network to reveal his disappointment at Monday’s defeat, before vowing to help Van Gaal’s men end the season in the best possible way.

Manchester United continue their bid for a top-four finish when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils are currently fourth in the Premier League table, one point behind third-placed Arsenal.
