The forward has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford as he approaches the end of his loan spell from Monaco.
Widespread reports have claimed that the 29-year-old could be set to leave United following his stuttering form for the Red Devils this season.
However, Pekerman has refused to give his opinion on the matter, insisting that Falcao’s future remains completely up to the player himself.
“If Falcao leaves Manchester United it is a personal decision,” Pekerman is quoted as saying by Goal.
“I’m not the right person to have a say on this matter. I always want him to be happy. He is an experienced player, intelligent.”
Falcao equalled Colombia’s all-time goal-scoring record by netting a 24th in the 3-1 win over Kuwait on Monday.
He will be hoping to feature when Manchester United host Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Louis van Gaal’s side are currently in fourth place in the top-flight table heading into the final eight games of the season.
