Man United transfers: Gareth Bale not for sale, say Real Madrid
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists Los Blancos won't sell Man United target Gareth Bale
Real Madrd won’t be entertaining any bids for Manchester United target Gareth Bale, according to Florentino Perez.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a big-money switch for the Wales international after the Los Blancos forward’s car was attacked by Madrid supporters following their El Clasico defeat earlier this month.
Bale, who is a former PFA player of the year winner, completed a £85.3m deal from Tottenham Hotspur to Los Blancos in 2012, signing a contract that runs until 2019.
Speaking to Spanish media outlet Marca, Real Madrid president Perez was adamant that the Wales international won’t be leaving the Champions League holders in the near future.
Bale, who scored in last season’s Champions League final, has scored 12 goals and made five assists in 25 La Liga appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s Madrid side this season.
Despite the Welshman’s slow start to life in the Spanish top flight, the former Tottenham winger has already scored 27 goals in just 52 league appearances.
