There were doubts surrounding the winger’s fitness after the England international was pictured hobbling after United’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat by Arsenal in midweek.
However, Young has confirmed that he is fit and ready to help Louis van Gaal’s side return to winning ways in this weekend’s crunch Premier League clash against their top-four rivals.
Young told United’s website: “I got a little knock in a tackle in the first half against Arsenal.
“I should be OK. They are fiery games against Arsenal and there were a few tackles flying about but you just dust yourself down and get prepared for the next game.”
The 29-year-old Young has scored one goal and made one assist in 16 Premier League games for United so far this season.
The Red Devils are currently fourth in the table heading into Sunday’s crunch clash with Tottenham at Old Trafford, five points behind defending champions City and one behind third-placed Arsenal.
United still have to face the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton before the end of the Premier League season.
