The Gunners beat the Ligue 1 side 2-0 at Stade Louis II but crashed out of the Champions League on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate draw in their last 16 tie.
Arsenal turn their attentions back to the Premier League this weekend and a trip to Newcastle United as they look to keep their bid for a top-four finish on track.
In the Premier League everything is possible
The north London side are also through to the FA Cup semi-finals, where they will face Reading at Wembley next month.
And Ozil says that he is feeling optimistic about the closing stages of the season despite the disappointment of Arsenal’s European exit.
Ozil told Arsenal’s website: “I want to praise the whole team. We dominated the whole game there and gave everything. We couldn’t find that last goal but we can be proud of ourselves.
“We knew that Monaco would make it difficult for us by playing defensively. We dealt with that very well and created a number of opportunities, that we unfortunately didn’t convert.
“We can be satisfied with that. We’ve got lots of important games coming up, especially in the FA Cup, where we’re in the semi-finals again.
“In the Premier League everything is possible and we have to look forward now. We have important games in front of us that we want to be successful in.”
The 26-year-old Ozil has scored four goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for Arsene Wenger’s men so far this season.
