Olivier Giroud has been voted as Arsenal’s player of the month for March after a string of impressive displays for the north London club.

The France international has been in fine form for the Gunners in recent weeks and scored six times in March to help Arsene Wenger’s men move up to third place in the Premier League table.

Giroud netted against Everton, Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United, Monaco and Newcastle United in a prolific month for the 28-year-old.

The striker also picked up Arsenal’s goal of the month award for March for his stunning finish against West Ham at Emirates Stadium.

Giroud won the award with 73 per cent of the vote, ahead of midfield duo Francis Coquelin and Mesut Ozil.
