Arsenal tightened their grip on a top-four finish with a comfortable 3-0 victory over West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Olivier Giroud gave Arsene Wenger’s men the lead on the stroke of half-time with a fine finish, before Aaron Ramsey made the points secure when he fired home in the 81st minute after some intricate build-up play from the north London side.

Substitute Mathieu Flamini added gloss to the scoreline when he tapped in from close range following Santi Cazorla’s low pass across goal.

Saturday’s win prompted plenty of activity on social media – and here are some of our favourite updates.

Mesut Ozil (@MesutOzil1088) is a happy man after playing 83 minutes against the Hammers: “The Gunners march on! Well-deserved win! Now let’s focus on tuesday! #YaGunnersYa #AFCvWHU”

Serge Gnabry (@SergeGnabry) echoes his compatriot’s sentiments: “Gunners on fire! A great result and the next important victory for @Arsenal! #COYG #AFCvWHU”
