Alexis Sanchez took to social media on Sunday evening to reveal his delight at being reunited with former team-mate Neymar in Chile’s friendly clash with Brazil.

Arsenal star Sanchez came up against his ex-Barcelona team-mate as Brazil ran out 1-0 winners at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

And the Chile star was clearly thrilled to see his former team-mate on Sunday after Roberto Firmino’s 72nd-minute strike handed Brazil victory.

Sanchez uploaded the photo above onto his Instagram account and wrote: “Lindo reencuentro ☺️ Nice meeting ☺️”

In the build-up to Sunday’s clash Sanchez spoke of his admiration for Neymar.

Sanchez has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers since his £35m transfer to Arsenal from Barcelona last summer.

The Chile international has scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 27 top-flight games for Arsene Wenger’s men to help the north London side up to third place in the table.
