Jack Wilshere has been embracing the fundraising spirit after the Arsenal midfielder helped raise money for charity at his local Sainsburys.

Although Red Nose Day isn’t until this Friday, the Gunners star joined some young volunteers at his local supermarket on Wednesday afternoon.

Wilshere, who has been sidelined following a minor surgery on his ankle last month, urged his Instagram followers to get involved in the fundraising activities.

Wilshere posted the above photo and wrote: “Raising money for Zone Central YCF at my local @sainsburys. Get involved with @RedNoseDay #RND15”

The Arsenal star hasn’t featured for the north London side since a 2-1 defeat by the Red Devils at Emirates Stadium in November.

However, England international Wilshere could feature against West Ham United in the London derby at The Emirates on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger’s side booked their place in the FA Cup semi-finals on Monday night after Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck scored against Manchester United to seal the club’s first win at Old Trafford since 2006.
