Robin van Persie is facing competition for the title of most talented athlete in the household after the Manchester United striker’s daughter cleaned up at gymnastics on Sunday.

The 31-year-old striker doesn’t have much to cheer about in football terms at the moment due to his current spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Van Persie’s prospects of adding another medal to his respectable collection hinge on United’s clash against his former club Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Monday night.

But the Netherlands international’s daughter, Dina, guaranteed some new medals in the trophy cabinet thanks to her gymnastics heroics, much to the delight of her crocked father.

Van Persie posted the above photo and wrote: “So proud of my girl Dina she won 4 gold medailles with gymnastics today! #ProudDaddy”

The United striker has scored 10 goals in 24 Premier League appearances under his compatriot Louis van Gaal this season.
