Mesut Ozil took to social media on Monday to wish Theo Walcott a happy birthday after the Arsenal winger turned 26 on Monday.

The England international celebrates his birthday as Arsenal prepare for their Champions League last-16 showdown with Monaco on Tuesday night.

And Ozil posted the picture and message above on his Twitter account as the Gunners geared up for their final training session ahead of the crunch European clash.

Walcott, who missed half of last season due to a serious knee injury, played 72 minutes as Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners over West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. He has scored two goals in eight Premier League games this season.

That win kept the Gunners in third place in the Premier League table and moved them to within a point of defending champions Manchester City.

Arsenal head to Monaco looking to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
