Alexis Sanchez looked in good spirits as Arsenal trained ahead of their Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Saturday.

Arsene Wenger’s men were put through their paces at the Gunners London Colney training base as the north London side look for a victory to take them a step closer to Champions League qualification.

Santi Cazorla and striker Oliver Giroud were among the other players in action as Arsenal look to bounce back from the disappointment of their Champions League exit at the hands of Monaco on Tuesday night.

Arsenal are in good form, having won 13 of 15 games since New Year’s Day, including eight wins from nine Premier League matches.

Wenger’s side have won their last six games against Newcastle, scoring 18 goals and conceding five.

Newcastle have lost three of their last four league matches, conceding nine goals in the process.

Here are some of the best pictures from Friday morning’s training session at Arsenal’s London Colney training base.
