Theo Walcott was all smiles after being presented with a birthday cake from his Arsenal team-mates ahead of Wednesday night’s crunch Champions League clash with Monaco.

The Arsenal forward turned 26 on Monday, and the likes of Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski wished him a happy birthday on social media.

And the England international was presented with a tasty-looking cake from his team-mates in Arsenal’s team hotel as they prepare for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash against the Ligue 1 side.

Walcott shared the picture above on his Instagram account on Monday evening and wrote: “Thank you to everyone for all the birthday messages today and a nice birthday cake surprise with the team.”

Arsenal take on Monaco needing to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit after last month’s surprise defeat at Emirates Stadium.

This is Arsenal’s 15th consecutive appearance in the last 16. However, Arsene Wenger’s men have lost at this stage in each of the last four seasons.

The Gunners are in good form, having gone 17 games without a draw, winning 14 and losing three.
