Six Nations 2015: Scotland call back Glasgow Warriors trio

Finn Russell, Tommy Seymour and Tim Swinson returned to Dark Blues' camp amid injury concerns ahead of visit to Twickenham

Vern Cotter has recalled three Glasgow Warriors players to his Scotland camp ahead of their RBS 6 Nations match against England at Twickenham.

The Scotland head coach has brought back Tim Swinson, winger Tommy Seymour, and stand-off Finn Russell, who was suspended for the 22-19 defeat to Italy at BT Murrayfield last week with Warriors wing Sean Maitland struggling to overcome a shoulder injury, while Perpignan flanker Alasdair Strokosch suffered ankle ligament damage.

Russell is also in line to return to the match-day squad now that his two-week ban for taking out Wales outside-half Dan Biggar in the air has ended.

They join eight other players – six from the Warriors and two from Edinburgh – who were retained in the Scotland camp ahead of the Calcutta Cup clash on 14 March.

They will take part in specialist skills and strength and conditioning training over two days later this week and have been ruled unavailable for their club’s Guinness PRO12 clubs this weekend.
