Alexander Hleb admits that he looks back fondly on his time at Arsenal before his exit from the Premier League club in 2008.

The Belarusian playmaker joined the Gunners from Stuttgart back in 2005 and spent three years at the north London side before leaving for Barcelona in the summer of 2008.

Hleb failed to hold down a regular spot in Barca’s first-team and only made 19 league appearances for the La Liga side during his spell at Camp Nou.

The midfielder has had spells at seven other clubs since his exit from Barcelona and is now currently plying his trade for Turkish side Gençlerbirliği.

And the 33-year-old concedes that he throughout enjoyed is time at the north London club before his departure to Spain.

Hleb is quoted as saying by turkishfootball.com: “I had a great time at Arsenal, we had a great team spirit and were a fantastic team before I left for Barcelona. I miss those days.”

Hleb scored seven goals in 89 Premier League games for Arsenal between 2005 and 2008.
