Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan pays tribute to Jurgen Klopp
Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan thanks departing manager Jurgen Klopp for an amazing spell at Borussia Dortmund
Ilkay Gundogan has paid a touching tribute to Jurgen Klopp after the popular manager announced that he will leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
The BVB manager has endured a turbulent season with the Bundesliga club, who struggled to find form in the German top-flight before they crashed out of the Champions League last month.
Klopp guided Dortmund to back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2011 and 2012 before the charismatic manager’s side lost to bitter rivals Bayern Munich in the Champions League final at Wembley in 2013.
The 47-year-old’s departure is set to trigger speculation surrounding the future of a number of the club’s key players, and Gundogan, who has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, took to Twitter to hail Klopp’s impact.

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a £19m offer for Germany international Gundogan, who missed the start of the season due to injury.
Barcelona and United are also rumoured to be ready to make a bid for the highly-rated 24-year-old midfielder.
