Arsene Wenger needs to add Raphael Varane, Edinson Cavani and Blaise Matuidi to his Arsenal squad in the summer, according to former Gunners striker Ian Wright.

The Gunners are 10 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea ahead of their clash against their London rivals at Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal manager Wenger has been linked with a host of players in recent months, including Paris Saint-Germain striker Cavani and out-of-favour Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Former England international Wright supported talk of Arsenal signing the Uruguay international, whilst he added that the FA Cup finalists should move for Real Madrid defender Varane and PSG midfielder Matuidi.

Arsenal can move to within seven points of Premier League leaders Chelsea with victory over Jose Mourinho’s side in north London on Sunday afternoon.

Wenger hasn’t beaten the Porutuguse coach in 12 attempts during Mourinho’s two spells in charge of the west Londoners.
