Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar urges Petr Cech to find a 'nice new club' in the summer
Petr Cech needs to find a nice new club where the Chelsea goalkeeper can show his quality, according to Edwin van der Sar.
The Czech Republic international has been forced to watch from the sidelines for most of the season after Thibaut Courtois returned from his loan at Atletico Madrid and claimed the number one spot over the summer.

Cech has been linked with a host of top European clubs throughout the season as Jose Mourinho admitted that he could lose the experienced goalkeeper amid reported interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
While Van der Sar believes Cech has played a vital role in helping Courtois settle at Stamford Bridge, the Manchester United legend urged the 33-year-old to find a new club at the end of the season.
Van der Sar told United’s website: “It’s important that young goalkeepers have an example and somebody they can look up to.
“Those guys really do their job although I have a lot of respect for Petr Cech from my time when he played with Chelsea.
“I think it’s important for him to find a nice new club where he can show the quality that Petr Cech has.”
Cech has made 484 appearances for the west London since he moved to Chelsea in a £7m move from Rennes in 2004.
The Czech goalkeeper has won 12 major trophies during his Stamford Bridge career, including three Premier League titles and the Champions League.
