Speaking to AS about a potential return to Real Oviedo on day, Cazorla said: “It is the club where I grew up from nine to 18.

“I spent my career there, I learned a lot as a player and hopefully I can wear that shirt. In the short term it will be difficult, but hopefully in a few years I can do that.

Cazorla has scored eight goals in all competitions for Arsenal so far this season.

He will be expecting to feature when Arsenal take on Reading in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday.
