Chelsea 1 Man United 0: We haven’t won the title yet, insists John Terry

John Terry rubbishes talk of Chelsea sewing up the Premier League title after a narrow win against Manchester United

John Terry was adamant that Chelsea still have more to do in the Premier League title race after a narrow win against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues made the breakthrough just before half-time after Oscar teed up PFA player of the year nominee Eden Hazard to finish past David De Gea.

It was a massive win and we are delighted with that ahead of Arsenal next week

The Red Devils posed a threat and much-maligned Colombia international Radamel Falcao hit the crossbar in the second half as Wayne Rooney reverted to a deeper role.

However, Chelsea managed to hang on despite Ander Herrera’s late bid to win a stoppage-time penalty and move 10 points clear at the top of the table with six games remaining.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Terry said: “We have dipped a bit but we are still picking up results and that is a sign of champions.

“It has been four years since we won the league and we are very determined. Still not done yet.”

Chelsea have won their last four Premier League games by a one-goal margin after collecting three points against Queens Park Rangers, Hull City, Stoke City and United.

Blues skipper Terry accepted that the west London side have been forced to dig deep in recent weeks.

“It was a massive win and we are delighted with that ahead of Arsenal next week. They dictated the game better than we did,” Terry added.

“We have not been playing as well as we can of late but we have been grinding out results and we did that again.”
