Chelsea transfers: Didier Drogba drops future hint

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba reveals that he is not planning to return at the end of the season

Didier Drogba has revealed that he is not planning to retire at the end of the season following his return to Chelsea last summer.

The 37-year-old re-joined the west London club last July after an initial spell at Stamford Bridge from 2004 until 2012.

His contract at Chelsea is due to expire at the end of the season and it is unclear whether the Blues are planning to offer the veteran forward a new deal.

However, the striker has revealed that he has no intention on hanging up his playing boots at the end of the current campaign, even if he ends up leaving Chelsea once again.

Drogba told the Irish Examiner: “Yes I have and it’s not going to be my last season.”

Drogba played the full 90 minutes as Chelsea secured a dramatic 1-0 win at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday to take another step towards winning their first Premier League title since 2010.

The Ivorian has featured in 23 Premier League games for the Blues so far this season.
