Eden Hazard: I did my job for Chelsea against Man United

Eden Hazard was satisfied with his performance as Chelsea beat Manchester United 1-0 on Saturday

Eden Hazard insisted that he was thrilled with his performance for Chelsea against Manchester United on Saturday as he goal handed the Blues a vital victory.

The Belgium international scored the only goal of the game with a close-range finish in the 38th minute at Stamford Bridge as Jose Mourinho’s men took another step towards winning the Premier League title.

Saturday’s victory left Chelsea needing just two more wins from their remaining six games to win their first top-flight title since 2010.

And Hazard was thrilled to play his part in helping the west London side secure victory over Louis van Gaal’s men in west London.

Speaking to Chelsea TV, Hazard said: “It is always good when you score at Stamford Bridge, and against Man United it is very good when the goal gives three points for the team.

“It is my job. I try to score, I try to make assists and to create something for the team and in this game I did it very well, but we realise it is not finished.”

Hazard, who was last week nominated for the PFA player of the year award, has been in fine form for Chelsea so far this season.

He has scored 13 goals and made eight assists in 32 Premier League games and will be expecting to feature next Sunday at Arsenal.
