Eden Hazard is the best player in England, declares Chelsea star

Oscar believes that Chelsea's Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League on current form

Oscar is convinced that Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League following the playmaker’s impressive form for Chelsea this season.

The 24-year-old Belgian playmaker has been one of the Premier League’s top performers this season to help Jose Mourinho’s men build a seven-point lead at the top of the table.

Hazard, who joined Chelsea from Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2012, recently signed a new five-and-a-half year contract to keep him at Chelsea until 2020.

And Oscar believes that the attacker is the best player in the English top flight following his sparkling displays this season.

Speaking to Goal, Oscar said: “In my opinion he is the best player in the Premier League at this moment.

“It’s very hard pointing out who’s the best here or there, especially here with so many good players. But Hazard has been so consistent and he deserves to be considered as the best player in England.

“Obviously we have other good players like Willian, he is only 25, or Diego Costa. We still have room for improvement.

“If we keep this winning mentality I can’t see why not other stars can’t rise here.”

Hazard will be expecting to feature when Chelsea take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The former Lille man has scored 12 goals and made eight assists in 31 Premier League games this season and is one of the front runners to win the PFA player of the year award.
