Gary Neville: Why Man United can beat Chelsea on Saturday
Gary Neville says Manchester United could beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday
Gary Neville believes that Manchester United’s trip to Chelsea on Saturday will be their biggest test of the season so far – but feels that the Red Devils’ recent form means that they are capable of winning.
Louis van Gaal’s side head to Stamford Bridge this weekend looking to continue their recent fine run of form.
The Red Devils have won eight of their last 10 Premier League games, including impressive victories against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City.
United are currently third in the table and eight points behind leaders Chelsea heading into the final six games of the season.
And former defender Neville feels that they are about to come up against their biggest challenge of the season in west London.
Neville is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail: “The tests have been Liverpool and City.
“This is another test. They have proven themselves, but this is the best team in the country and to go to Stamford Bridge is the toughest test.
“The performances from United in the past month have been absolutely outstanding in any season.
“Forget the fact that in this season they are not going to win the league, in any season the level of performance they have shown in this last month has been of a hard standard.”
United, who beat local rivals City 4-2 at Old Trafford on Sunday, are aiming to secure a top-four finish and a route back into the Champions League.
