Man United transfers: Mats Hummels fuels talk of Old Trafford move
Manchester United target Mats Hummels confirms that he is considering his future at Borussia Dortmund
Mats Hummels has once again fuelled the speculation linking him with a summer transfer to Manchester United by confirming that he is considering his future at Borussia Dortmund.
The Germany international has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal looks to bolster his defensive options at United.
Hummels was touted as a potential target for the Red Devils last summer following Van Gaal’s appointment at the club but a move failed to materialise.
The defender fuelled reports linking him with a move away from Borussia Dortmund last week when he admitted that he is unsure about whether he will be at the Bundesliga club next season.
Now, the 26-year-old has again confirmed that he is unsure about where his future lies.
Speaking to Sky Sports this weekend, Hummels said: “That doesn’t mean that I am leaving, it just means I’m reflecting.
“There’s no particular tendency one way or the other. It’s just thoughts going through my mind. It will all become clearer in the coming weeks.”
Hummels has scored one goal in 17 Bundesliga games for Jurgen Klopp’s Dortmund team so far this season.
