Man United transfers: Thiago Silva wants PSG sign Paul Pogba
Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva is desperate to see the Ligue 1 side sign Manchester United target Paul Pogba
Thiago Silva has urged Paris Saint-Germain to sign Manchester United target Paul Pogba.
The France international is one of the most-coveted players in European football at the moment after a spectacular season for Serie A champions Juventus.
Pogba, who has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window, has scored seven goals and has made two assists in 23 top-flight games.
PSG captain Silva is welcoming speculation suggesting that the cash-rich Ligue 1 champions could make a mammoth offer for the 22-year-old midfielder.
“He is young and an amazing talent just like Marco Verratti,” Silva is quoted as saying by talkSPORT. “But he is also French and knows the language. He would integrate perfectly without any issues.
“If he did arrive we would all do our best to make him immediately feel welcome.”
Pogba has scored 23 goals in 122 games in all competitions for the Turin side since the France youngster opted to join the Serie A champions.
The France midfielder has won two Italian top-flight crowns following his move to Turin from United on a free transfer in 2012.
The former Red Devils star made just three appearances for the 20-time English champions after he struggled to break into the first-team under Sir Alex Ferguson.
