Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere posts a picture of himself with Prince William

Jack Wilshere took to social media on Saturday evening to share a picture of himself chatting to Prince William after an England game.

The Arsenal midfielder, who sat out the 4-1 win over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium due to an ankle injury, is pictured all smiles with the Duke of Cambridge and former England team-mate Frank Lampard.

Wilshere posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote: “Baby talk with the prince…..and the ledge”

The 23-year-old midfielder has been out of action since November after suffering ankle ligament damage during the 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

Wilshere underwent surgery in early December and was closing in on a comeback last month but then had another minor operation to remove discomfort from his ankle.

The midfielder is now training with Arsene Wenger’s first-team and could make his return to action for next weekend’s Premier League trip to Burnley.

Arsenal’s win over Liverpool lifted them up to second place in the Premier League table.
