Mesut Ozil took to social media on Wednesday afternoon to pay tribute to his fans and thank them for their drawings of the Arsenal playmaker.

The German World Cup winner, who helped Arsenal beat Liverpool 4-1 on Saturday, uploaded four pieces of art sent in by some of his fans onto his Instagram account.

Ozil shared the picture above on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Dear fans, thank you so much for all those amazing messages! You’re simply the best! I hope I can put together many more drawings for you in the future! Do you have any more? Feel free to send them to #DrawMesut on Twitter or Instagram!”

The 26-year-old playmaker has been in good form for the north London club in recent weeks.

He scored Arsenal’s second goal with a sublime free-kick to help Arsene Wenger’s men move up to second place in the Premier League table thanks to a thumping 4-1 win at Emirates Stadium.
