Chelsea's Oscar takes to social media to reassure fans that he is feeling much better after his head injury
Oscar took to social media on Monday afternoon to reassure Chelsea fans that he is feeling “much better” after the midfielder suffered a head injury during Sunday’s goalless draw at Arsenal.
The Brazilian playmaker was substituted at half-time during the Emirates stalemate after a heavy collision with Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina.
Oscar was sent to hospital but slept at home on Sunday night before reporting for training at Cobham on Monday.
And the midfielder used Instagram to thank his followers for their support and insist that he is on the mend ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Leicester on Wednesday night.
Oscar posted the picture above on Instagram and wrote: “Thanks everybody for your messages. I’m feeling much better !!”
Earlier on Monday, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revealed that he is optimistic that Oscar should be available for the Blues’ midweek Premier League game.
Sunday’s draw with Arsenal left Chelsea 10 points clear at the top of the table as they look to win their first top-flight title since 2010.
