Juan Mata was all smiles on Friday afternoon as the Manchester United squad were put through their paces ahead of their trip to Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Spain international produced a muted performance at his old stomping ground Stamford Bridge last weekend as the Red Devils saw their six-game winning streak come to an abrupt end at the hands of the Premier League leaders.
Mata’s former Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard scored a first-half winner to end talk of an unlikely United title bid as Louis van Gaal’s side look to cement their top-four finish in the remaining weeks of the season.
The £37.1m appeared to embody the good mood in the Red Devils camp after he uploaded a snap of training at Carrington ahead of a tricky game against Everton on Merseyside on Sunday afternoon.
Mata wrote: “Do not touch. #training @manchesterunited”
Mata has scored six goals and has made four assists in 28 Premier League appearances this season.
The Spanish playmaker joined United in what was then a club-record £37.1m deal from Chelsea in January 2014.
