Liverpool forward Jordon Ibe is doing everything possible to earn a starting spot for Aston Villa clash

Jordon Ibe is relishing the battle to win a starting spot in the Liverpool side for Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final judging by the forward’s Instagram post last night.

The 19-year-old returned to the starting line-up last Monday for their 2-0 victory over Newcastle United at Anfield before he was replaced in the 56th minute.

The Reds face Tim Sherwood’s Aston Villa side in the weekend’s second FA Cup semi-final at Wembley as Brendan Rodgers looks to reach the first final of his Anfeild reign.

And Ibe appeared to be going all out to impress the Northern Irishman as he uploaded a snap of the England Under-21 star challenging Emre Can for the ball in training at Melwood.

Ibe posted the above photo and wrote on Instagram: “Little battle between me & @ec2323”

Ibe has made eight appearances for Liverpool in all competitions following his return from a loan at Derby County.
