Ryan Giggs joined Salford City to celebrate their First Division North title success on Tuesday night.

The United assistant manager is a join owner of the club alongside his former Red Devil team-mates Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt.

Salford can’t be caught at the top of the table after Darlington failed to beat Warrington last night which resulted in their promotion to Evo-Stik Premier League.

While Phil Neville didn’t appear to be part of the celebrations, the former United defender uploaded a photo of Giggs with their club’s players to his Instagram page.

Neville posted the above photo and wrote: “Giggsy celebrating with the boys!!”

The former England defender did write his own congratulatory message to the Salford City squad on the photo-sharing app.

Neville added: “Well done lads”

The former Everton assistant manager’s sentiments were echoed by his older brother Gary on Twitter.

Meanwhile, FC United achieved promotion to Conference North next season after a 1-0 victory over Stourbridge.
