Adnan Januzaj posted his first tweet after joining Twitter on Friday afternoon and quickly attracted more than 25,000 followers.

The Manchester United youngster has become the latest Red Devils star to open an account on the social network.

The Belgium international is following the likes of Marouane Fellaini, Wayne Rooney, Daley Blind and Ashley Young on the website.

Januzaj posted the picture above along with his first tweet at 14:29 BST on Friday and wrote: “Hi Twitter! This is my official account looking forward to sharing with you all #MUFC #FirstTweet.”

The 20-year-old winger has found his first-team opportunities at Old Trafford limited this season after enjoying a breakthrough campaign under David Moyes last term.

Januzaj has only started seven Premier League games this season following Louis van Gaal’s appointment as manager last summer.

He will be hoping to feature when United take on local rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon looking for a victory to continue their march towards qualification for next season’s Champions League.
