Mesut Ozil sends a good-luck message to a handful of his Arsenal team-mates ahead of their appearance for the Under-21s
Mesut Ozil took to social media on Tuesday night to send a good-luck message to Jack Wilshere, Abou Diaby, Serge Gnabry and Mikel Arteta ahead of their appearance for Arsenal’s Under-21 side.
The midfielders are all set to feature when Steve Gatting’s Arsenal side take on Stoke City at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
And Ozil wished his team-mates all the best ahead of the clash in north London with a post on Instagram.
The Germany international uploaded the photo above onto his account and wrote: “Good luck to Mikel Arteta, @sergegnabry, @jackwilshere and Abou Diaby for tonight’s U21 match against Stoke! Great to see you all back on the pitch! #YaGunnersYa #Arsenalfamily #COYG”
Wilshere has been out with an ankle injury since November after undergoing surgery following the 2-1 defeat by Manchester United at Emirates Stadium.
Diaby has been suffering from a number of injury problems, while Arteta has been out with calf injury. Gnabry, meanwhile is closing in on a return to full fitness after suffering a serious knee injury.
Arsenal, who are now second in the table and seven points behind Chelsea, take on Burnley in their next Premier League game on Saturday evening.
