The German World Cup winner has been in good form for the north London club in recent weeks.

He scored Arsenal’s second goal with a sublime free-kick to help Arsene Wenger’s men move up to second place in the Premier League table thanks to a thumping 4-1 win over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium earlier this month.

Ozil, who joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013, has scored four goals and made five assists in 15 Premier League games for Arsenal so far this season.

He will be expecting to feature when Wenger’s side take on Reading in their FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
