Wayne Rooney warned Everton that Manchester United are focused on three points ahead of their trip to Goodison Park on Sunday.

The Red Devils are looking to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last weekend.

Louis van Gaal’s side were on a six-game winning run before their defeat in west London, ending their outside chance of pushing the Blues for the Premier League title.

However, United captain Rooney and his Red Devils team-mates appeared as determined as ever in the striker’s Instagram post on Saturday night.

Rooney posted the above photo and wrote: “Another good weeks training complete ready for tomorrow. Focused. @youngy_18 @juanmatagarcia”

Rooney has scored 12 goals and has made five assists in 29 Premier League appearances for the 20-time English champions this season.

The 29-year-old forward was named as United’s new captain by manager Van Gaal at the start of the campaign following the departure of Nemanja Vidic.
