Liverpool train at Melwood ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn Rovers

Daniel Sturridge appeared to be in good spirits as Liverpool trained at Melwood on Monday morning ahead of their FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn Rovers this week.

Brendan Rodgers’ men were put through their paces on Merseyside as they prepare to try and respond to Saturday’s disappointing 4-1 Premier League defeat by Arsenal by booking their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Sturridge was a second-half substitute as Liverpool suffered a severe blow to their hopes of Champions League qualification as the slumped to defeat by the Gunners in north London. The loss left Liverpool nine points behind Arsenal with seven games to play.

However, the England striker appeared to be upbeat on Monday morning along with the likes of Mario Balotelli and Steven Gerrard.

Also pictured in action were Raheem Sterling, Fabio Borini and Glen Johnson.

Here are some of the best pictures from Monday’s training session at Melwood.
