Photos: Wilshere and Gnabry back in action for Arsenal

Jack Wilshere, Abou Diaby, Serge Gnabry and Mikel Arteta all played for Arsenal's Under-21s on Tuesday

Jack Wilshere was in action for Arsenal’s Under-21 side on Tuesday night as the midfielder continues his return to full fitness.

The England international was joined by other first-team regulars Mikel Arteta and Serge Gnabry as the Gunners sealed a 4-1 win over Stoke City at Emirates Stadium.

Wilshere, who has been out of action since November, played the full 90 minutes as the midfielder recovers from a minor ankle operation earlier this year.

Arteta was given a 59-minute run-out at Emirates Stadium, while Gnabry – who has been recovering from a knee injury – also played the full 90 minutes.

Midfielder Abou Diaby was also given a run-out by coach Steve Gatting, with the French midfielder playing 72 minutes in north London.

Arsenal’s first-team return to action when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon after their impressive 4-1 win over Liverpool last weekend.
