Piers Morgan refuses to apologise for criticism of Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey

Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan stands by his past criticism of midfielder Aaron Ramsey

Piers Morgan has refused to apologise for his past criticism of Aaron Ramsey after the Arsenal midfielder snubbed the chance to shake his hand this weekend.

Celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan famously abused Ramsey on Twitter back in February 2013, branding the Wales international as a “liability”.

The midfielder has been in fine form for Arsenal of late and Morgan has been forced to backtrack on his initial comments.

However, the Arsenal star was clearly not impressed by Morgan’s previous criticism of him and turned down his offer of a handshake on Sunday.

But despite the snub, Morgan insists that he stands by his criticism of the Arsenal midfielder and refused to backtrack in a series of tweets on Tuesday morning.

Ramsey has scored five goals and made five assists in 24 Premier League games for Arsenal so far this season.

Sunday’s goalless draw with Chelsea left the north London side third in the Premier League table and 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.
