Pochettino delivers latest Tottenham injury update ahead of Burnley trip
Hugo Lloris is not fit for Tottenham's trip to Burnley on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino confirms
Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of Tottenham’s Premier League trip to Burnley on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.
The goalkeeper was carried off on a stretched with a leg injury early on during the 4-3 win over Leicester City last month and the Spurs boss revealed that the France international has still not recovered from the problem.
Pochettino also revealed that striker Roberto Soldado is a doubt for the trip to Turf Moor, with the Spaniard having missed Spurs’ last two games with a knee injury.
Speaking to Spurs’ website, Pochettino said: “Hugo Lloris is still recovering after his problem against Leicester – he is out.
“After that, Roberto Soldado is a doubt but we have two days ahead to decide if it’s possible for him to make the squad.”
Tottenham head into Sunday’s game in seventh place in the Premier League table and six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United.
The Lilywhites have won six of their last 10 top-flight games as Pochettino attempts to guide the north London club to a top-four finish in his first season in charge at White Hart Lane.
Spurs are seven points behind local rivals Arsenal.
