Tottenham’s Nacer Chadli: I’m enjoying my football again

Nacer Chadli says he is enjoying his football again after going through a difficult period in his career.
The Tottenham Hotspur forward scored his 10th goal of the Premier League season on Saturday afternoon as the north Londoners drew 2-2 with Southampton.
Chadli has been a mainstay of Pochettino’s first-team for most of the campaign after initially struggling to make an impact in his first term at White Hart Lane.
Speaking to London Evening Standard, the Belgium international lifted the lid on his renewed football happiness following a tough period after the death of his father earlier this year.
“It took me a while to enjoy football because you have some periods of your life that are difficult to go through,” Chadli said.
“Luckily I have my friends and family to help me go through it and now I am very glad to be playing football again.”
The Spurs star has enjoyed a promising second season in the Premier League after a slow start to his White Hart Lane career.
The Liege-born winger, who moved to the north London club in a £7m deal from Eredivisie side FC Twente in 2013, has scored 10 goals in 31 Premier League appearances.
