The Gunners are currently sitting in third place but Manchester United can hoist themselves above the north London side with victory over Arsene Wenger’s men at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
I think with the second part of the season we have been doing really well and if we did not finish in the top three, it would be really disappointing for us
Arsenal suffered their first defeat in 11 Premier League following a 1-0 reversal against Swansea City last Monday, leaving the door open for Louis van Gaal’s outfit to make a late push for third place.
Spain Under-21 international Bellerin warned his Arsenal team-mates that it is crucial the FA Cup finalists finish in the automatic Champions League qualifying places at the end of the season.
“It is really important and it will be a weight taken off our shoulders, because we have had to play in that game every year and sometimes, like last year in Besiktas, when we had to play away in Turkey, it is always hard conditions,” Bellerin told Sky Sports News.
“I think with the second part of the season we have been doing really well and if we did not finish in the top three, it would be really disappointing for us. But I think the team has got it in us and we can get more points, starting this Sunday against Manchester.
“We beat them in the FA Cup, so I think we need to play the same type of game and stick together. We had a little accident against Swansea at home the other day, but we need to think about all the other games that we have played before that game, and we know that we have been doing great.”
Bellerin capped an impressive run of form in the Gunners side with his first Premier League goal against Aston Villa in February before he netted against Liverpool in a 4-1 win at The Emirates earlier this month.
The Gunners youngster has scored two goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for the north London side.
